This qualification will enable learners to develop the knowledge and skills needed when supporting teaching and learning in primary, secondary or special schools.
It covers a wide range of areas including children and young people's development, supporting those with disabilities or special educational needs and communication and professional relationships
You will attend college for 1 day per week either a Tuesday or Friday

Entry Requirements
Please book an appointment where you will receive information, advice, and guidance about the course you have applied for. This will be an opportunity for you to gain valuable information about the course and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.You'll need a reasonable level of literacy and a paid or voluntary teaching support placement of six hours a week or more for the whole of your course.
You'll need to arrange this before you enrol. It can be in a primary, secondary, school but not a nursery.
There will be a materials cost of £40

Assessment Details
You will need to have a placement for approximately 4 hours per week in a school working with children in year 1 or above. It will be assessed by your tutor or assessor using a range of methods. This will include direct observation in the workplace, written assignments or tasks.
