L2 certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (NCFE)

Please book an appointment where you will receive information, advice, and guidance about the course you have applied for. This will be an opportunity for you to gain valuable information about the course and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

You'll need a reasonable level of literacy and a paid or voluntary teaching support placement of six hours a week or more for the whole of your course.

You'll need to arrange this before you enrol. It can be in a primary, secondary, school but not a nursery.

There will be a materials cost of £40

You can progress on the the Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualifications.

You can further your knowledge by taking another course at the College.

This course is covered by mandatory units

You will need to have a placement for approximately 4 hours per week in a school working with children in year 1 or above. It will be assessed by your tutor or assessor using a range of methods. This will include direct observation in the workplace, written assignments or tasks.
