Our ESOL 16-18 students visited the Houses of Parliament and attended a private tour with Dame Siobhain McDonagh, MP for Mitcham and Morden.
The students learned how Parliament works and then participated in a Question Time session with Dame Siobhain. They also met Chief Whip Lord Kennedy of Southwark, who briefed them on his role within the Houses of Parliament.
This visit follows the 'Your Community Your UK Parliament' workshop the students attended in December, hosted by Damien Arness Dalton, a Senior Education and Engagement Officer from UK Parliament.
